FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing plastic materials for recycling and a method of processing an article containing plastic material, coated with silicon material. The method involves treatment with aqueous solution containing hydroxide of an alkali or alkali-earth metal and a phase-transfer catalyst, so that the silicon material is completely or partially dissolved or transferred into a suspension in the aqueous solution and the plastic material is separated from the solution. ^ EFFECT: simple method which enables to recycle an article without deterioration or destruction of the plastic matrix. ^ 13 cl, 4 ex |
