PURPOSE: A built-in vibration monitor with an order-spectrum analyzing function and a method of diagnosing the defect of a variable rotating machine device using the same are provided to accurately diagnose the failure sign and parts of a complex machine device whose rotating number changes depending on an operation state. CONSTITUTION: A built-in vibration monitor with an order-spectrum analyzing function comprises a body, a vibration sensor, and a rotating-speed sensor. The body comprises a case(11), a signal processing module(12), a FET module(13), a rotating-speed calculating module(14), an order converting module(15), a determining module(16), an output module(17), and a display unit(18). The case is attached to a machine to be monitored on vibration and holds components. The signal processing module converts analog vibration signals sensed by the vibration sensor to digital data and generates digital vibration signals.
