<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for shortening an adjusting time in a luminance adjusting device of an image display apparatus consisting of a plurality of display units. <P>SOLUTION: A luminance adjusting device comprises: pattern image photographing means 41 for photographing a pattern image displayed on a display unit 8; luminance calculation means 11 for calculating luminance of each light emitting element of the display unit from the pattern image photographed by the pattern image photographing means; dot luminance adjusting means 71 for adjusting luminance variations of each light emitting element; absolute luminance measuring means for measuring surface luminance of the display unit after adjustment of luminance variations by the dot luminance adjusting means; surface luminance adjusting means 72 for adjusting surface luminance of the display unit based on the measured surface luminance; and one axial direction moving means 6 for moving the pattern image photographing means and the absolute luminance measuring means to a predetermined position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
