The present invention relates to novel aseptically cooked pouch rice and to a method for producing same. The pouch rice of the present invention is produced completely differently from conventional aseptically cooked pouch rice, i.e. by filling a large rice cooker with rice, cooking the rice, cooling and compacting the cooked rice, feeding the rice into pouches under an aseptic environment, and sealing the openings of the pouches. Alternatively, a cooking cell mounted on a large cooking frame is filled with a predetermined amount of rice, steam is injected into the cooking cell to cook the rice, the cooked rice is cooled and fed into pouches under an aseptic environment, and the pouches are sealed and distributed at room temperature or in a refrigerator. According to the present invention, the power consumed for warming rice in typical electric rice cookers can be reduced. As compared to conventional pouch rice, in which the tops of pouches are heat-sealed for commercialization, the pouch rice of the present invention can be produced with significantly reduced production and packaging costs, and thus has valuable use in green, low-carbon growth industries. |
