<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly recognize that a parking brake is operated. <P>SOLUTION: In this shift device 10, when the shift position of a shift member 20 is changed between an R position, an N position, and a D position, the shift member 20 is rotatingly operated. On the other hand, when the parking brake 40 is operated, the shift member 20 is slidingly operated. Therefore, the operating pattern of the shift member 20 when the parking brake 40 is operated is different from the operating pattern of the shift member 20 when the shift position of the shift member 20 is changed.
