摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for fuel cells that allows oxygen to favorably reach pores formed on a primary aggregate of a carbon, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: Two types of ionomers with different micelle sizes are used for the cathode electrode: an ionomer having a smaller micelle size than an inlet diameter of a cavity 148 formed between carbon primary aggregates 140 (ionomer 146A) and an ionomer having a larger micelle size than the inlet diameter thereof (ionomer 146B). Thus, the inner wall of the cavity 148 and the outer surface of the primary aggregates 140 can be uniformly coated with the ionomers 146A and 146B. The ionomer 146A consists of a polymer material having higher oxygen permeability than that of the ionomer 146B.
