<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug for an internal combustion engine, which has excellent mountability and stable ignitability. <P>SOLUTION: The spark plug 1 has a tubular housing 2, an insulator 3 held inside the housing 2, a center electrode 4 held inside the insulator 3, an earth electrode 5 for forming a spark discharge gap G between the earth electrode 5 and a tip end 40 of the center electrode 4, a pocket 11 formed between the housing 2 and the insulator 3 and opens toward an axial tip end X, and a fuel supply passage 12.
