PURPOSE: A holder device for a bite of a lathe is provided that the fault of the cut surface by the chips scattered during cutting work of a roll. CONSTITUTION: A holder device for a bite of a lathe a holder body member, a shank member(20), and a pressing member(30). The holder body member installs to a tool rest(100) of the lathe. One end of the holder body member is projected to one side of the tool rest. A shank seating groove(11) is formed in the lower part of projected one end of the holder body member. The shank member is fixed to the shank seating groove. A bite(21) is settled in the lower surface of the tip-end part of the shank member. It pressurizes the top of the holder body member and the pressing member fixes.
