<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel examination method of fibrosis in chronic liver diseases. <P>SOLUTION: The examination method of fibrosis or a fibrosis stage in chronic liver diseases comprises measurement of expression level/levels of a single/plurality of miRNAs selected from miRNAs, which have base sequences of sequence number 1-67 or base sequences including one or two variations in the above base sequence as a fibrosis marker, in a biological sample of a patient.
