摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of an energy storage device when a temperature of the energy storage device is likely to increase and preferentially use electric power for traveling. <P>SOLUTION: When an instruction to set first EV mode is issued and a battery temperature Tb of a battery 50 is equal to or lower than a first temperature T1, the first EV mode is permitted, or when an instruction is issued to set second EV mode in which a motor is used for traveling preferentially as compared to the first EV mode and the battery temperature Tb of the battery 50 is equal to or lower than a second temperature T2 that is higher than the first temperature T1, the second mode is permitted (step S110-180). When the second EV mode is permitted, a cooling fan 55 or the like as a cooling device is controlled so as to increase the amount of heat to be dissipated from the battery 50, as compared with the case where the first EV mode is permitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
