<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively-producible novel food preservative having sufficient antimicrobial and antiseptic ability against bacteria and fungi rotting food, safety to human bodies, and high stability as a composition. <P>SOLUTION: The food preservative having excellent antimicrobial and antiseptic ability is a composition prepared by mixing 1-500 pts.wt. of an aqueous base material with 1 pts.wt. of a solution which includes at least: (A) 15-45 wt.% of a 8-22C fatty acid or its salt; (B) 20-50 wt.% of a mono-, di-, or tri- fatty acid glycerol ester formed of a 8-18C fatty acid and glycerol; (C) 10-30 wt.% of a sulfosuccinic acid ester; (D) 0-10 wt.% of one or more kinds of alcohols selected from ethanol, propanol and isopropanol; and (E) 0-55 wt.% of water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
