摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that can increase a focal depth of a lens array, suppress degradation of resolution when an object (document) is lifted, and be easily designed and manufactured with high accuracy at low cost, and to provide an optical module using the device. <P>SOLUTION: The lens arrays LA1 and LA2 are arranged in order between a document 2 and a line sensor LS, with the lens arrays having a common optical axis, and an identical shape and physical property. Each of the lens arrays is formed by integrally molding a plurality of lenses. An aperture AP provided with an opening (light passage hole) OP that is coaxial with the optical axis is interposed on an intermediate image formation plane 6 between the lens arrays LA1 and LA2.
