APPARTUS AND METHOD FOR PAGING E-MBS TERMINAL IN A MULTI-CARRIER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A device and a method for paging an e-mbs terminal in a multi-carrier system are provided to enable an idle mode terminal to report the receiving start and completion of an E-MBS service with a network. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(11) controls an RF unit(13) to receive a paging message from a network through the first carrier corresponding to the predetermined condition. The control unit controls the RF unit to transmit a first ranging request message including control information expressing the location update procedure for informing an E-MBS service receiving start. The control unit determines a second carrier in which the E-MBS service is transmitted to a paging carrier. The control unit receives a paging message from a network through the determined second carrier.
