PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pile driving method in which excess large bubbles contained in a solidifying fluid are removed (degassed) to form a high-strength densely solidified body of uniform quality.SOLUTION: The steel pile driving method is provided for driving a pile into a support layer, and forming, around the leading end of the steel pile 1, a base protecting section C1 that is a solidified body of the solidifying liquid material, by employing transfer pipes 3 disposed along the steel pile 1, for spraying water or a solidifying liquid at the leading end of the steel pile 1, and a vibratory hummer 2 attached to the steel pile 1. The method includes: a first step of inserting the steel pile in the ground by operating the vibratory hummer while spraying water from the transfer pipes; a second step of forming a base protecting section around the leading end of the steel pile by spraying a solidifying fluid material from the transfer pipes while still operating the vibratory hammer; and a third step of degassing the sprayed solidifying fluid material by operating the vibratory hammer for a fixed period of time after the spray of the solidifying fluid material has been halted or the spray amount thereof has been minimized. |
