PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve energy saving by suppressing the input heat value from the outside.SOLUTION: This carbon dioxide gas recovery apparatus 1 includes an absorption column 2 for introducing gas to be separated containing carbon dioxide gas and a lean absorbing solution to bring them into contact with each other and absorbing carbon dioxide gas in the gas to be separated in the lean absorbing solution to prepare a rich absorbing solution, and a regeneration column 3 for receiving the supply of the rich absorbing solution from the absorption column 2 while heating the rich absorbing solution to separate carbon dioxide gas to thereby regenerate the lean absorbing solution, and is also equipped with a heat pump 6 for moving the heat, which is generated by exothermic reaction when carbon dioxide gas is absorbed by the lean absorbing solution in the absorption column 2, through a heating medium and utilizing the same as a heat source of endothermic reaction when the carbon dioxide gas is separated from the rich absorbing solution in the regeneration column 3.
