CASTABLE REFRACTORY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a castable refractory having both corrosion resistances and spalling nature with thermal resistance, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A powder composition contains a fire-resistant powder having a content of fine particles of a particle size less than 75 μm of 35 mass% or less and a content of coarse particles of a particle size of 1 mm or more of 50 mass% or more, a binder and a dispersing agent. The powder composition is added with 6 mass% or less of water relative to the powder composition and kneaded in a mixer 10 having an outside-inside double stirrers to obtain the castable refractory showing fluidity of a vibration flow value D of 150 mm or higher and a spreading thickness T of 30 mm or less.
