PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform navigation utilizing an unregistered road such as wide-area map display or long-distance route calculation by determining a hierarchy to be added or updated corresponding to the state of the unregistered road or a user's intention.SOLUTION: This map information processing device 1 includes: a map information storage part 11 for storing hierarchized map information; an external information input acquisition part 120 for acquiring road information of an unregistered road which is not hierarchized from the outside; an addition updation hierarchy determination processing part 118 for determining one or more hierarchies to which the road information of the unregistered road is added and updated, based on information on the hierarchy to which the road information of the unregistered road is to be added and updated, included in the acquired road information of the unregistered road; and an unregistered road addition updation part 117 for generating map information to which the road information of the unregistered road is added and updated in each hierarchy for the map information storage part 11, relative to one or more hierarchies which are determined. |
