PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device with a new structure, as one object, which can hold stored data contents even on condition that power is not supplied and which has an unlimited frequency of writing.SOLUTION: The semiconductor device is constituted by using a material which can sufficiently reduce an OFF current of a transistor, e.g. an oxide semiconductor material that is a wide-gap semiconductor. The use of a semiconductor material which can sufficiently reduce the OFF current of the transistor allows information to be held over a long period. Also, a timing of potential change in a signal line is delayed than a timing of potential change in a write word line. Thereby a writing error of data is prevented. |
