A method for fabricating a master for use in fabrication of a molding die to be used in molding of a molded body having a plurality of molding parts arranged thereon, includes: a resin supplying step of supplying a resin onto a master substrate; a first curing step of curing the supplied resin as a whole up to a quasi-cured state corresponding to a cured state where the resin may be deformed at a pressure applied in the molding and may retain a deformed shape thereof; a molding step of transferring, onto the resin, a plane in the same shape as molding faces of the molding parts by using a master molding die after the first curing step; and a second curing step of further curing the resin after the molding step.
