The present invention provides a method and device for mobile multicast. The method includes: receiving a re-association request from a Mobile Station (MS); generating a Multicast Context Block (MCB) as an informational packet which describes the multicast service of the MS, when the MS is using the multicast service and a current access point which is providing service for the MS and a target access point with which the MS will re-associate are in the same Robust Security Network Association (RSNA) network; and sending the MCB to the target access point so that the multicast service of the MS can be switched to the target access point. With the technical solution provided by an embodiment of the present invention, a wireless local area network can support the mobile multicast service.
