PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure prediction apparatus which automatically predicts failure in a transmitter in simple configuration without separately preparing any transmitter, predicts the failure in the transmitter from a little information amount and further is capable of reducing running costs of the transmitter without pressing a communication line.SOLUTION: A correlation target data generating section 14 in an amplitude histogram measuring unit 11 arithmetically operates correlation target data (amplitude histogram) from incoming radio waves measured by a measuring section 13, by using an amplitude histogram arithmetic part 15 and preserves the correlation target data in a correlation target data storage unit 17. A correlation degree arithmetic unit 18 calculates a correlation coefficient (correlation degree) between reference data (amplitude histogram) outputted from a reference data storage unit 16 and the correlation target data (amplitude histogram) stored in the correlation target data storage unit 17. A correlation degree determination unit 19 determines whether or not an absolute value of the correlation coefficient calculated by the correlation degree arithmetic unit 18 is less than a predetermined threshold value, to determine a symptom of failure in a transmitter.
