PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily determine the presence or absence of a failure at a tip of an endoscope inserting part.SOLUTION: An endoscope system has an imaging device with a solid imaging element stored in the tip of the endoscope inserting part, and a processor device for forming an endoscope image from an imaging signal output from the solid imaging element and displaying on a monitor. The imaging device has a test-pattern generating means for generating a predetermined test pattern signal, while the processor device forms the image based on the test pattern signal generated by the test pattern generating means of the imaging device and displays on the monitor. |
