The apparatus (1) has a puncture unit (PM) i.e. lancet, for puncturing a body location of a patient, and a measuring unit (GM) supplied with blood from the punctured body location to measure blood glucose contents in the blood. A dosing unit (ID) doses a medicament i.e. insulin, from a medicament reservoir (IR) and an injection unit (IM) injects the dosed medicament into the body location of the patient. A feeding mechanism supplies a hypodermic needle to the injection unit and a hypodermic needle disposal reservoir (NE).
