PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of being easily manufactured and securely retaining excrements such as urine without leakage while the structure is simple.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes a pad body 11 and end edge joint parts 12a. The pad body 11 includes: an inner sheet member with liquid-permeability in at least a part of the region; an outer sheet member with a waterproofing property; and an absorbent core 23 with liquid absorbency to absorb water, disposed between the inner sheet member and the outer sheet member. The pad body 11 is double-folded along a center line 31 along the vertical direction Y. Parts of an end edge on both right and left sides with the center line 31 in-between, layered on each other by the double folding of the pad body 11 in the end edge on either side in the vertical direction Y of the pad body 11, are joined to each other in each end edge joint part 12a. At least part of side edges on both sides of the pad body 11 in the lateral direction, layered on each other by the double-folding of the pad body 11, can be opened in the direction of separating from each other. |
