FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention provides a module of an illumination device with one or more light-emitting elements operatively connected to a substrate and a loop lying in at least partly around one or more light-emitting elements. The loop and the substrate define a cavity in which one or more light-emitting elements lie, where the cavity can be tightly closed by a light-transmitting system. At least part of the cavity can be filled with encapsulating material. The loop defines one or more channels, where each channel joins the cavity with the outer surface through an outer opening. For example, the outer opening can be accessible when the light-emitting device is at the assembly stage, thus facilitating fluid movement of the encapsulating material inside and/or outside the cavity.
