PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin preparation for external use that has a tocopheryl phosphate ester and/or a salt thereof stably compounded therewith.SOLUTION: Incorporation of cholesterol pullulan with a tocopheryl phosphate ester and/or a salt thereof represented by chemical formula 1 (wherein Rand Rare each selected from among hydrogen, an alkali metal and an organic base) permits stable compounding of the tocopheryl phosphate ester and/or a salt thereof. The compounding amount of the tocopheryl phosphate ester and/or a salt thereof is preferably 0.01-5.0 wt.%. The compounding amount of cholesterol pullulan is preferably 0.001-0.1 wt.%, more preferably 0.002-0.05 wt.%. As cholesterol pullulan exhibits its effect with a smaller amount than conventionally used stabilizer, it does not restrict the latitude in prescription design.
