<p>The disclosed vehicle internal/external structure (10), which allows increased freedom in terms of where to install a contact or impact detection region, comprises a front bumper cover (12) and a pressure sensor (14). The front bumper cover (12), which is supported by the body of the vehicle, has: a main body (20) formed from a foamed resin material; and a skin material (22) which is formed from an elastic material and covers the main body (20) from the outside. A hollow space (28) is formed between the main body (20) and the skin material (22). The pressure sensor (14) outputs a signal corresponding to the internal pressure in the hollow space (28). With this configuration, even without a member subjected to forces from vehicle skeleton members, vehicle reinforcement members, or the like being arranged behind the hollow space (28), if an impact body impacts the area of the front bumper cover (12) where the hollow space (28) is located, a reaction force is produced by the main body (20), compressively deforming the hollow space (28). This results in increased freedom in terms of where to install the hollow space (28), i.e., where to install an impact detection region.</p> |
