PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus or the like for measuring the number of bacteria, efficiently carrying out both of the pretreatment of a liquid to be measured and the measuring treatment by DEPIM (Dielectrophoretic Impedance Measurement method) of the liquid to be measured in the same container.SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for measuring the number of the bacteria, measuring the number of the bacteria contained in the liquid 17 to be measured based on the change of the impedance of the liquid 17 to be measured is equipped with an ion-exchanging treatment part 11 for carrying out the ion-exchanging treatment of the liquid 17 to be measured, and a measuring treatment part 12 for regulating the electric conductivity of the liquid 17 to be measured, and detecting the impedance. The ion-exchanging treatment part 11 and the measuring treatment part 12 are installed in each division in one cell 10 having at least two regions divided by a separator 13 arranged so as to be freely detachable. One or more partitions 14 enabling the liquid 17 to be moved between the ion-exchanging treatment part 11 and the measuring treatment part 12, and blocking the movement of an ion-exchanging resin 15 are installed at the position neighboring to the separator 13. |
