PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained-release pharmaceutical composition containing a sustained-release gel coating and a gel coating.SOLUTION: An oral pharmaceutical dosage form comprises an active agent and a coating disposed about the active agent, wherein the coating comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable mixture of gelatin and hydrophobic polymer. The hydrophobic polymer is present in an amount of at least 20% based on the total weight of the coating. The hydrophobic polymers are preferably ethylcellulose and Eudragit RL/RS or the like.
