Disclosed is a DC motor equipped with: a stator having a plurality of field poles; an armature equipped with an armature core, an armature coil, and a commutator; and a brush that is in sliding contact with the commutator. The armature coil comprises coil units with concentrated windings that are wound around various teeth, and crossover units that connect therebetween and are electrically connected. Commutator segment groups comprise adjacent first and second segments to which the coil units with concentrated windings connect and third segments to which only the adjacent crossover units connect. In addition, the plurality of crossover units include crossover units that connect between the coil units with concentrated windings by passing through a slot.
