PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a method for controlling undesirable plants for agricultural and non-cultural use, which are capable of reducing burdens on the environment, humans and animals, do not make users uncomfortable by emission of odor etc. upon use and are capable of offering a high controlling effect with an economical amount.SOLUTION: The composition for controlling undesirable plants contains 2-ethyl hexanoic acid and/or 3,5,5-trimethyl hexanoic acid as an active ingredient. Alternatively, the composition for controlling undesirable plants contains as active ingredients: a first ingredient composed of 2-ethyl hexanoic acid and/or 3,5,5-trimethyl hexanoic acid; and a second ingredient that is a chemical herbicide. The method for controlling undesirable plants includes using these compositions. |
