PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately detect contact of an indicator and the contact position of the indicator by reducing the influence of noise from a display device.SOLUTION: A sensing device includes: a touch panel 10; an electrode 20 for noise, which is arranged between the touch panel 10 and the screen of the display device so as to cover the whole or a part of the screen; and a touch detecting part 100. The electrode 20 for noise functions as a shield to prevent the noise propagating from the display device to the touch panel 10, and also functions as an electrode to measure the noise from the display device. A driving circuit 102 and a capacitance detecting part 104 measure the capacity values CE of the detection electrodes arranged in the touch panel 10 and the capacity value CN of the electrode 20 for noise. A correcting part 106 corrects the capacity values CE of the detection electrodes by using the capacity value CN of the electrode 20 for noise, and corrects the capacities corresponding to the noise, which are not fully prevented by the electrode 20 (the shield) for noise. |
