PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a claw tooth type rotary electric machine that increases magnetic flux density at the tip of a claw-shaped magnetic pole even when the claw-shaped magnetic pole is made longer in the axial direction than a conventional claw tooth type rotor, and increases output torque according to the length while reducing axial vibration and torque ripple.SOLUTION: A claw tooth type rotary electric machine is formed so that the length of a gap to the stator at the tip of the claw-shaped magnetic pole is shorter than the length of a gap at the root. Preferably, the pole core is molded using dust core material, or the rotor is molded of a nonmagnetic material so that the machine gap becomes uniform. |
