PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a short-circuit between electrodes in a cosmetic apparatus.SOLUTION: When RF electrodes 21, 22 are short-circuited and an excess current is produced in a circuit 25, supply of a high frequency current from an RF transmitter 15 is stopped by a controller 11. Presence/non-presence of occurrence of the excess current, that is, a short circuit, is detected by comparing a current between the RF transmitter 15 and the RF electrodes 21, 22 acquired through a current sensor 24 and a threshold stored in a memory 11a. The threshold is set at a current value for which the excess current to be caused in a short circuit is used as a reference. Specifically, when the current acquired through the current sensor 24 is equal to or higher than the threshold, a short circuit state is detected and the supply of a high frequency current is stopped. Thus, an instable operation situation due to the excess current is quickly dissolved. |
