PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for annealing steel wires capable of correctly measuring a temperature in a low temperature region in annealing the steel wires and thus appropriately controlling the temperature of a joint of the steel wires.SOLUTION: The method of annealing a joint b of steel wires W1 and W2 includes the step of heating the joint b of the steel wires W1 and W2 while measuring its temperature. Optic energy emitted from the joint b is received by a light receiving element provided to face the joint, a photodiode 6 for example. A signal output from the photodiode 6 is logarithmically converted. The heating temperature of the joint b of the steel wires W1 and W2 is adjusted by a temperature determined based on the logarithmically converted signal. |
