PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress A/F (air/fuel ratio) from being overrich at cold starting in an engine (internal combustion engine) in which a secondary air supply control for a catalyst warming-up is executed at cold starting.SOLUTION: Regarding the control device for the internal combustion engine, while an AI execution condition (secondary air supply control execution condition) is established at cold starting, if a VVT execution condition at cold starting of IN-VVT (execution condition at cold starting for variable valve timing control), as an increased normal fuel value at cold starting is reduced, the A/F of air-fuel mixture is prevented from being overrich even if the IN-VVT is started at cold starting. Thus, a combustion state and drivability at cold starting can be improved. |
