PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve generation efficiency of X rays by preventing attenuation of laser light through optimum setting of collision points of electron beams and the laser light in accordance with positional relations of a gas target.SOLUTION: The method comprises a step of dividing laser light emitted from a laser light source in the vacuum into a first laser light and a second laser light, a step of generating plasma in the first laser light and projecting a gas target as a medium for accelerating electrons, and a step of generating X rays by colliding the electron beams accelerated with the use of the first laser light with the second laser light at a given position on the basis of an interface of a high-density area where gas density is higher than in other vacuum areas by the projected gas target. |
