Method for catalytic hydroformylation of 6-24C olefin comprises carrying out the hydroformylation in one or more steps, where in at least one of the step is carried out in the presence of an unmodified cobalt complex catalyst, using a mixture as an educt comprising an olefin and 7-25C aldehyde, where the molar ratio of the aldehyde to olefin is 0.005-1 to 0.2-1. An independent claim is also included for an educt mixture, used in the above method, comprising 6-24C olefin and 7-25C aldehyde, where the molar ratio of aldehyde to olefin is 0.005-1 to 0.2-1.
