Disclosed is the use, in the preparation of a medicament for use in a method of attaining enhanced sexual wellness of an individual by administering the medicament to the genital areas of said individual, of an anhydrous composition comprising from about 0.1 to about 0.5% by weight of a niacin derivative selected from the group consisting of niacin, nicotinic acid, methyl niconate, methyl nicotinate, benzyl nicotinate, nicotinamide and niacinamide and an acceptable carrier consisting essentially of one or more polyhydric alcohols, wherein said niacin derivative is dissolved in said carrier and is present in an amount effective to increase the blood flow to human tissue when said composition is applied to said human tissue and wherein said composition is non-flushing and said increase in blood flow is less than a 300% increase. Said composition is capable of penetrating the epidermis of said human tissue when applied to said human tissue, and preferably, it should be administered between 5 minutes to 30 minutes prior to intercourse.
