摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of reducing exhaust pressure losses and manufacturing costs by providing a built-in catalyst without complicating an exhaust gas passage. <P>SOLUTION: An engine exhaust gas heat exchanger 1, which performs recovery of the heat between the engine exhaust gas and an engine coolant, includes a built-in engine exhaust gas purification catalyst 2. The engine exhaust gas purification catalyst 2 is arranged on an exhaust gas flow passage in an exhaust gas inflow section, and a part or the whole of the catalyst 2 is housed in a housing member 3 provided with a plurality of nozzle holes 30 in a peripheral wall thereof facing an inner wall 41 of the heat exchanger 4, and an engine coolant passage is formed between the inner wall 41 of the heat exchanger 4 and the outer wall 42 of the heat exchanger 4. A catalyst support 21, which is bonded to the periphery of the catalyst 2, is provided with one or more cutouts 21b that allow gas to pass through.
