<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that allows a user to recognize an output source device to be handled as an output source of a sound signal, even after the sound signal accepted from at least part of a plurality of sound signal output devices which output the sound signals is overlapped. <P>SOLUTION: An output source device specification information acceptance part 48 accepts output source device specification information for specifying a plurality of output source devices. A sound signal acceptance part 46 accepts a reference sound signal obtained by overlapping the respective sound signals to be output by at least the plurality of output source devices with one another. A synthetic sound signal generation part 54 generates a plurality of sound signals with mutually different frequency distributions based on the reference sound signal. The synthetic sound signal generation part 54 modulates the plurality of sound signals so that the respective sound images corresponding to each of the plurality of generated sound signals are localized at positions corresponding to the respective output source devices, respsectively.
