<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server base computing system that reduces the frequency of communication between a server device and a client device to enlarge and display an image with reduced power consumption of the client device having mobility. <P>SOLUTION: The client device determines whether a scale factor with which an image displayed in a display unit is instructed to be enlarged is equal to or smaller than a prescribed scale factor. In the case that it is equal to or smaller than the prescribed scale factor, the client device requests transmission of a server enlarged image resulting from enlargement with the prescribed scale factor, from the server device and receives a server enlarged image transmitted from the server device and stores the received server enlarged image into a frame memory area wherein the image is temporarily stored to be displayed in the display unit. In the case that the instructed scale factor is smaller than the prescribed scale factor, the client device calculates a client enlarged image resulting from enlarging the image stored in the frame memory area with the prescribed scale factor.
