PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that warning sounds generated from a motor-driven travelling vehicle 60 impairs quietness therearound. SOLUTION: This alarm device generates a great volume of warning sound in an area of a frontward predetermined range Wset and predetermined distance Dset 01 in Step S108 when recognizing a frontward object (person) 10 via a radar 20 mounted on a vehicle 60. In other areas, it generates a medium volume of warning sound in Step S110 when a relative speed Vrtarget of the object (person) 10 to the vehicle 60 during going farther away therefrom with its back thereto is higher than a vehicle speed Vsp, and it generates a small volume of warning sound in Step S112 when the relative speed Vrtarget of the object (person) 10 to the vehicle 60 during coming closer thereto is lower than the vehicle speed Vsp.
