PURPOSE:To obtain an optical semiconductor device and its manufacturing method, which device is formed by fixing an optical semiconductor element on a mounting member by using adhesive agent and is excellent in mounting precision of the optical semiconductor element and the mounting member. CONSTITUTION:Spacers 8 which are particles having rigidity and uniform size are dispersed in adhesive agent 2 for fixing an optical semiconductor element 3 on a mounting member 1. The spacers 8 keeps the interval between the mounting member 1 and the optical semiconductor element 3 constant.
