PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank allowing a built-in part to be firmly welded to the inner surface of an outer wall of the fuel tank, so as to protect the outer wall of the fuel tank even when a shock or the like are applied onto the outer wall of the fuel tank. SOLUTION: The fuel tank 1 for automobile is formed by blow molding, mounted inside with the built-in part 20, and have an outer wall formed of synthetic resin. The built-in part 20 is provided with a plurality of mounts 30 welded to the inner surface of the outer wall of the fuel tank 1 so as to mount the built-in part 20. The mount 30 has a formed abutting portion 32 abutting on the inner surface of the outer wall of the fuel tank 1. The abutting portion 32 has a formed abutting surface 33 and a plurality of abutting pins 34 protruding from the abutting surface 33. The abutting pin 34 is formed into a column shape or circular truncated cone shape with a circular or elliptical cross-sectional shape. The diameter or major axis diameter of the top of the abutting pin 34 and the height of the abutting pin 34 from the abutting surface 33 are formed less than the thickness of the outer wall of the fuel tank 1.
