<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic-capacitance input device that suppresses the occurrence of malfunction, and a calculation method of a conductor approach position. <P>SOLUTION: The electrostatic-capacitance input device includes a plurality of first detection electrodes Ex<SB>i</SB>arranged in a direction x and extending in a direction y, a plurality of second detection electrodes Ey<SB>j</SB>arranged in the direction y and extending in the direction x, a storage means 91, and a calculation part 92. The storage means stores values obtained via each Ex<SB>i</SB>due to changes in electrostatic capacitance between a conductor and each Ex<SB>i</SB>respectively as a plurality of first-direction detection values Xch(i) and values obtained via each Ey<SB>j</SB>due to changes in electrostatic capacitance between the conductor and each Ey<SB>j</SB>respectively as a plurality of second-direction detection values Ych(j). The calculation part 92 executes processing for creating a plurality of first map values obtained by calculating a first value obtained by calculating about at least any one of the plurality of Xch(i)s, and a second value obtained by calculating about at least any one of the plurality of Ych(j)s, and determines the presence or absence of approach of the conductor by using the plurality of first map values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
