PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device mainly used for operations of various electronic equipment in a vehicle, wherein the device prevents wrong operations and is reliably operated. SOLUTION: An operation shaft 24 of a rotary encoder 21 has click feeling between ON and OFF of a first pulse signal A and a second pulse signal B, and a controller 27 is designed not to count the first pulse signal A while the second pulse signal B has not changed. Accordingly, the controller 27 can reliably count the first pulse signal A and the second pulse signal B even when some vibration or impact have occurred.
