<p>The disclosed reel (1) is provided with a winding core (2) and a pair of side plates (3). An adhesive tape (T) is wound around the winding core (2). The pair of side plates (3) are affixed to the ends of the winding core (2). Radial ribs (6) are formed on the inside surface (3a) of each side plate (3). The ribs (6) on one side plate (3) are offset from the ribs (6) on the other side plate (3) by an angle ?. The tape (T) wound around the winding core (2) contacts the ribs (6). The ribs (6) on both sides, offset from each other, can cause the tape (T) to form an S-shaped curve. The separation (W1) between the pair of side plates (3) can be less than the separation (W2) between conventional pairs of side plates (3). The tape (T) may be an anisotropic conductive tape. Anisotropic conductive tape comprises a substrate and an anisotropic conductive film formed on the substrate. The offset of angle ? between the ribs (6) on both sides inhibits separation (blocking) of the anisotropic conductive film from the substrate.</p> |
