PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel property determination apparatus capable of examining a fuel used in an internal combustion engine without using an oxygen sensor. SOLUTION: A fuel property determination apparatus 1 includes: a sub tank 38 into which a fuel in a fuel tank 32 is supplied; a heating device 40 that heats the fuel in the sub tank 38; a temperature detection means that detects the temperature of the fuel in the sub tank 38 when the heating device 40 heats the fuel in the sub tank 38; and a determination means that determines the alcohol component mixed in the fuel and the mixture proportion of the alcohol component to the fuel based on a change in the temperature of the fuel in the sub tank 38 detected by the temperature detection means.
