One embodiment of the present invention relates to technology for extracting correlation parameters between colour planes for prediction, involving the extraction of optimum correlation parameters between colour planes by using peripheral blocks when creating a prediction screen, through the use of the interrelation between colour planes in video encoding, wherein the technology may comprise: a peripheral block searching unit which, with respect to a second block of a restored transfer plane corresponding to a first block which will encode the current plane, searches the peripheral blocks of the second block to find a third block having the smallest pixel value difference from the second block; a correlation parameter calculating unit which uses the third block and a fourth block, which results from restoration of the current plane corresponding to the third block, as the basis for calculating the correlation parameter between the third block and the fourth block; and a prediction unit which predicts the first block on the basis of the second block and the calculated correlation parameter. |
